The connection itself is even lubricated inside. Such clamps do not grip well to a flat surface due to their shape; if you need to attach to a flat surface, consider the Ulanzi HD02 clamp, which has special jaws for this purpose.

But unfortunately i received a broken glass, and i cannot blame the manufacturer for the way it was shipped, as it may be a misshipping from anyone who transported this piece until it reached me. I will buy another one soon because i am sure that using the teleprompter will be very easy and comfortable, especially on the go.
